Exterior Color Review

Upon looking at the paint choices, you might ask yourself, "why do some of them cost extra?"

Great question.

There's several reasons. Ash Green Metallic, for example, was introduced this year. Only available on the TrailSport, this emerald green color mixes metallic and pearlescent paints. That results in higher material and application costs. Some premium colors are also limited in their availability. That further increases production costs.

However, these metallic colors also sparkle and change how they look under different lighting conditions.

We suggest picking a color that suites your style and needs. If you want your 2026 CR-V to have some flare, go with a premium color. If budget is an issue, or color isn't a big deal, choose a standard one.

Additional pros and cons:

  • Lighter colors like Platinum White Pearl reflect heat in the summer. This helps keep the car cool.
  • Darker colors like Crystal Black Pearl show more dirt and scratches. They also absorb heat.
  • Less common colors like Urban Gray Pearl enhance resale value.
  • A trendy color like Ash Green Metallic might hurt resale value.

Interior Color and Material Options

The 2026 Honda CR-V's interior features four color and fabric combinations: Black Cloth, Gray Cloth, Black Leather, and Gray Leather.

Here's where you'll find each one:

Black Cloth

Interior Color and Fabric Review

Like picking an exterior, your ideal interior comes down to personal preferences.

As you'd expect, a 2026 CR-V with genuine leather inside will cost more than cloth. Leather is more expensive to produce. The CR-V's cloth material is synthetic, made with a blend of polyester and other fibers.

The bottom three trims - LX, EX, and Sport Hybrid - only come in cloth. Starting MSRPs on those trims range between $30,920 and $35,630.

Leather is available on the upper trims: TrailSport Hybrid, Sport-L Hybrid, EX-L, and Sport Touring Hybrid. There, starting MSRPs are between $35,400 and $42,250.

Cloth is better for those living in hot climates. It's a cooler fabric. Cloth is also easier and less expensive to maintain.

Leather is more durable, looks luxurious, and hides stains better than cloth.

As for color, black looks classy and hides dirt well. In the gray's favor - less heat absorption and a better CR-V resale value.
