It’s been a minute since a Honda Prelude rolled off an assembly line.

25 years actually.

Well folks, it’s coming back.

The 2026 Honda Prelude Hybrid reintroduces the sport coupe with a modern twist. It features a two-motor hybrid powertrain that produces 200 horsepower and delivers an EPA rating of 46 city and 41 highway mpg.

Starting at $42,000 MSRP, the Prelude is available in two trims: the standard Hybrid and the Hybrid Two-Tone.

Both trims share the same performance hardware, including the 200-hp system, 19-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels, and Honda’s S+ Shift drive mode for sporty responsiveness.

Inside, the new Prelude includes premium features such as a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a Bose 8-speaker audio system.

Honda has stated that the Prelude is expected to arrive at U.S. dealerships in late 2025, with availability varying by region. This means the first units could show up toward the end of the year, with some deliveries continuing into early 2026.
