Honda Expands in Indonesia with $321 Million Investment


Honda is expanding again, and this time the company is headed to Indonesia. This move, which includes a $321.2 million investment in the new auto plant, will triple the brand's local output capacity and help it to reach increased demand in Indonesia and other fast-growing Asian markets. The plant will be built near a Jakarta, where an existing plant is already located. Annual production is expected to grow to 180-thousand vehicles from the current figure of 60-thousand units. Honda has also announced that it will build a new motorcycle company in the country, as well.
